Two CPAs Announced as Finalists in Greater Moncton’s Top 20 Under 40

Two CPAs are listed among the finalists, having been selected for their significant contributions to the community.

Forty individuals under the age of 40 have been named as finalists for the first Greater Moncton’s Top 20 Under 40.

The event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton and the Hub City Young Professionals Network, will recognize 20 individuals from the Greater Moncton area.

The finalists are all making a difference in the community. Their fields of expertise are varied, but they all play a leadership role, whether it is in business, politics, the arts, non-profits, education, the environment, health care, or public service.

CCGM CEO, John Wishart, said that all candidates are successful in their sector, but what separates the finalists is their commitment to make their community a better place to live.

“The forty finalists selected have already an accomplished career at a young age, but where they are distancing themselves from others is with their engagement in shaping our community's future”, said Wishart.

The nomination process was open online until March 29, 2019, and 80 nominations were received. The Greater Moncton’s Top 20 Under 40 Advisory Board reviewed all candidates and selected the names of the 40 finalists that were revealed, today.

Patrick Richard, founder of the Hub City Young Professionals Network, said the selection process was rigorous for committee members. The candidates submitted very complete and detailed nomination files for review.

“We were not surprised to receive all these excellent nominations, we knew that these change-makers existed in our region but even so, our organizations were very impressed with the quality and the caliber of the candidates, said Richard.

“Selecting only 40 finalists was extremely difficult”, he added.
