President & CEO Announces Departure

CPA NB announces that Rock Lefebvre, President and CEO, will be leaving his role at June-end 2019 to pursue another role in the professional association sector.

The Chartered Professional Accountants New Brunswick (CPA NB) announces that Rock Lefebvre, President and CEO, will be leaving CPA NB at June-end 2019 to pursue another role in the professional association sector.

Actively working with the Board of Directors and Committees of CPA NB, Mr. Lefebvre, invested significant effort in designing a renewed strategic focus for CPA, in serving its members, and for advocating on behalf of our profession and for responsible business practice,” affirms Julie Bernard, Chair of the Board of Directors of CPA NB. “As CEO, Mr. Lefebvre showed an abundance of passion for the profession – spurring important initiatives promoting Financial Literacy and positioning of the CPA brand with increased social enterprise spirit”.

Rock likewise confirms that he has enjoyed working with the Board, staff, and members of CPA NB recognizing the “ongoing devotion and leadership of so many contributors and the much appreciated support of Julie Bernard, Chair and Kevin Dumaresque, Past-Chair”. “I have every confidence that CPA NB will continue to evolve to serve the needs of its varied constituents” adds Lefebvre.

The Board and Human Resources Committee have commenced the recruitment planning exercise which includes both interim and longer-term succession arrangements.
