What we're doing\nCPA New Brunswick invites Greater Monctonians with a modest income and a simple tax situation to get their income tax return filled out for free this March and April. \nLocated in the TD Canada Trust boardroom on the main floor of 860 Main Street, Chartered Professional Accountants will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to do tax returns (see schedule below). \n“CPAs take their reputation of altruism, accountability, and duty very seriously,” says Mylène Lapierre, Registrar and Senior Compliance Officer for CPA New Brunswick. “By volunteering at these free public tax clinics, organized in partnership with Canada Revenue Agency, our members are living proof of CPA community spirit.” \nWhile CPA New Brunswick is providing the volunteer team, TD Canada Trust is providing the space, as well as making their staff available to answer banking questions participants might have.\n“We are thrilled to give back to the community where we live and work by hosting these free tax clinics,” says Sebastien Tinor-Roy, TD Canada Trust Main Street Branch Manager. “As an added service, we will have an advisor on site to answer general banking questions and provide information about different banking services.”\nWhere to go\nThe FREE tax clinics will be available at 860 Main Street, Moncton, at the following times (please bookmark this page for any last-minute changes):\n\n Mondays from 4 – 6 p.m. (March 4, 11, 18, 25 and April 1, 8, 15, 29)\n Tuesdays from 4 – 6 p.m. (March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30)\n Wednesdays from 4 – 6 p.m. (March 6, 13, 20, 27 and April 3, 10, 17, 24)\n Thursdays from 4 – 8 p.m. (March 7, 14, 21, 28 and April 4, 11, 18, 25)\n Fridays from 4 – 8 p.m. (March 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 5, 12, 26)\n Saturdays from 10 a.m. – noon, and 1 – 3 p.m. (March 9, 16, 23, 30 and April 6, 13, 27)\n\nFind out if you’re eligible for help at a free tax clinic\nDo you need help with your tax return? If you have a modest income and a simple tax situation, volunteers at a free tax clinic may be able to complete your tax return for you.\n\nFind out if you’re eligible for help at a free tax clinic. \nWhat to bring with you\n\n In order for volunteers to complete your income tax and benefit return for you, make sure to bring your:\n Tax information slips\n Receipts\n Social Insurance Number\n Identification\n\nTax information slips are prepared by your employer, payer, or administrator. You should have received most of your slips and receipts by the end of February.
