We are pleased to announce that Robert Harrison, FCPA, FCGA has been appointed to the National Board of Examiners.

In response to a call made for an Atlantic appointment, CPA New Brunswick advanced and sponsored the candidacy of Robert Harrison, FCPA, FCGA to complement the efforts of the Board of Examiners alongside one returning Nova Scotia and two returning Prince Edward Island representatives.

About the candidate

Robert is Controller at the Trius Group of Companies in Fredericton, and has extensive experience in financial statement preparation and interpretation, problem-solving, and decision-making in areas including tax, working capital management, budgeting, and liaison with external auditors.

About the Board of Examiners

Comprising of representatives from across the country and serving as a vehicle of CPA Canada, the objectives of the CFE Board of Examiners’ Report are to:

  • explain the CFE (Common Final Exam) process, and
  • assist the profession in improving candidates’ performance on the CFE.

Following every CFE sitting, CPA Canada publishes the CFE Board of Examiners’ report, which provides feedback on candidates’ performance and commentary from the Board of Examiners.

The report contains:

  • a message to candidates on how to improve performance from the Board of Examiners;
  • the responsibilities of the Board of Examiners; and,
  • methods used for guide-setting and marking the CFE.
