\n\nOn October 3rd, the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) released its 2018 fall inspections results. \nOverall, CPAB found more significant deficiencies across Canada’s largest public accounting firms compared to last year. To date, CPAB has inspected 77 out of 80 planned (86 in 2017) audit engagement files and 14 of those files had significant findings compared to six in 2017. \nTwo firms demonstrated an acceptable level of audit quality, while the two firms with more findings than last year are responding to CPAB’s remediation requirements. \n\nA copy of the CPAB’s Audit Quality Insights Report: 2018 Fall Inspections Results can be download HERE.
