Daye Kelly & Associates is a Fredericton based Firm of Chartered Professional Accountants.  The Firm is wholly owned and operated by local Partners who actively manage the practice with offices in Fredericton and Oromocto.   

We emphasize a team based approach to servicing our clients, and provide a variety of services including: audit, review and compilation engagements, personal and corporate Canadian tax compliance, tax planning, corporate reorganizations, and other management & financial advisory services. 

About the opportunity

We are looking for a designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with relevant experience in a public accounting Firm to join our team.  In this challenging role, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Planning, preparation and review of various assurance and audit engagement files
  • Preparation and review of corporate and personal tax returns
  • Managing client billings, providing advice, recommendations, and solutions
  • Performance management and training of junior staff
  • Business development activities such as networking, enhancing the Firm’s community relationships and attendance at various local business functions

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Qualities which are necessary for success in this role include flexibility, ability to build relationships, and the willingness to invest the energy and time necessary to progress to a future leadership position within our Firm. 

The successful candidate will also possess the following:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in public practice
  • Exceptional computer skills including experience in a paperless work environment with Adobe/PDF, Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook; extensive knowledge of Caseware/Caseview and Profile
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with clients and colleagues
  • A natural curiosity and desire to continually acquire new skills
