On behalf of our client, Clearview, A Panasonic Company, we are recruiting a Senior Director, Finance & Operations for their office in Fredericton.

Founded in 2000, Clearview is a global leader in software-­as-­a-­service (SaaS) solutions for financial management, food cost management, and labor management. Clearview provides strategic business insight and efficient back-­office operations for many of the industry’s leading businesses, including McDonald’s, Tim Horton’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, A&W, Church’s Chicken, Arby’s, and Dairy Queen.

Reporting to the President, the Sr. Director of Finance & Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-­to-­day business operations of the company, including financial and corporate strategy,
Controller functions, contract management and administrative operations. The SDFO will provide regular department updates and reporting as required internally, and to the Board of Directors.


Core Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to:


  • Managing accounting operations, including financial analysis, cash flow management, accounts receivable, credit and collection, accounts payable, payment processing, production of analytical and budgetary reporting, annual review preparation, strategic financial planning, corporate tax reporting and compliance, and management of financial systems and operations
  • Identifying opportunities to capitalize on cost containment, and establishing measures to monitor performance during the course of the financial year
  • Identifying and reporting risk areas, with recommendations for mitigation
  • Establishing budgets and providing recommended actions to support the company’s long-­ term strategic plan
  • Overseeing of general accounting, including the maintenance of all books and records


  • Preparing, submitting, and presenting required financial reporting on a regular basis, including: monthly financial statements (detailed balance sheet, detailed statement of income, budget v. actual MTD and YTD, variances);; quarterly and year-­end reporting;; departmental reports as required;; action plans for significant variances;; timely bank reporting to ensure that the company complies with the requirements of borrowing arrangements, if required
  • Collaborating closely with the President & CEO, preparing and delivering reporting to the Board of Directors that clearly demonstrates the state of business operations overall



  • Overseeing the day to day business operations of two offices
  • Implementing a management system to maintain contracts, leases, and other contracting vehicles
  • Participating as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, collaborating across functional areas to ensure smooth delivery of products and services
  • Assuming overall responsibility and accountability for facility management, real estate and the administrative services team including all administrative and financial support services
  • Liaising with legal counsel and providing guidance in the development of contracts and non-­disclosure agreements, etc.

Standardized Processes

  • Ensuring a system of internal controls are in order to safeguard the company from financial losses and enhance the efficient flow of administrative work throughout the company
  • Overseeing the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (policies and procedures) for account, administration, and HR as required
  • Working closely with the Sr. Director of HR, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial laws and company objectives

People Management

  • Participating in hiring and performance management activities
  • Providing guidance and departmental direction to team members
  • Working with team members to provide coaching and developmental opportunities
  • Providing advice and counsel as appropriate
  • Overseeing the payroll administration and employee compensation processes

Liaising with External Parties

  • Serving as the primary financial contact for the company’s accountants, bankers, brokers, corporate insurance carriers, legal counsel, and CRA.


As the ideal candidate, you have a CPA designation, combined with a minimum of 15 years progressive experience culminating in Financial Management, with extensive experience and demonstrated skills in financial strategic planning and methodology.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-­starter who learns quickly and proactively, and approaches tasks and assignments with a focus on problem-­solving and analysis. Strong leadership skills, with emphasis on teamwork and relationship-­building are integral to success in this role. An excellent communicator, you can effectively present complex financial and business information in a clear and understandable fashion.
