About the role Ocean Capital Holdings Limited, a privately held company with its Corporate Office located in Saint John, New Brunswick, has an immediate opening for an Assistant Treasurer. This position will work very closely with the Treasurer. Key Responsibilities Administrative functions associated with executive payroll Provide ongoing support for financial and tax reporting for trusts and other legal entities, as needed, including quarterly financial statement review meeting Administrative functions associated with philanthropic giving Administrative functions associated with family Foundation matters Coordinating resource for Personal income taxes Trust administration Serve as a liaison with corporate bankers Organize Estate meetings Serve as liaison and work with external tax advisors Approval of Senior executive expense reports Treasury functions Estate planning and insurance Participate in Retirement and Pension Advisory Committee Other duties as assigned Qualifications A creative and effective problem solver with excellent judgment, a high sense of urgency and unquestioned confidentiality Strong quantitative and analytical abilities Excellent interpersonal skills Self-starter, team player, embraces entrepreneurial mindset Focused: “Hands-on” with the ability to multi-task Values: Integrity, discretion, trustworthy, confident, organized respectful and ethical Requirements This is a senior position and requires a CPA designation with 15+ years of experience.
