The Acadian Timber Accounting Group supports operations in New-Brunswick and in Maine (USA), and has an intermediate level position available immediately within our Accounting Group based in Edmundston, New Brunswick. Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, the successful candidate is accountable for: Daily harvest contract system management Management of the product costing and weekly deliveries reporting Management and control of harvest data entry systems and related data entry personnel Maintenance of MS Excel worksheets for monthly and quarterly accounting Inventory management in systems and for monthly accounting Supporting the month-end process Management of the customer invoicing and reconciliations process Supporting the General Journal transactions entry process Assisting others during peak workload periods and during temporary replacements Other miscellaneous accounting duties, as required, in relation to payments, or month end accounting Qualifications The preferred candidate will: Hold a general Bachelors of Business or a CPA designation Demonstrate competency of basic accounting principles Demonstrate competency in Microsoft Excel and working with spread sheets Have relevant experience directly related to the position Demonstrate strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products Possess experience with and/or a strong understanding of current accounting software (Microsoft GP would be a significant asset) Possess strong English communication skills (bilingual skills are an asset, but not essential) Have the ability to multi-task Identify and manage priorities in fast paced environment Possess superior problem-solving ability Maintain a high level of attention to accuracy and detail Be capable of providing a clear criminal record verification To Apply Applicants are requested to submit their resume and cover letter, in strict confidence, to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, January 14, 2019.
