According to CPA New BrunswickBy-Law 2.05 “A former Member who has resigned may be readmitted to membership in accordance with the Act, By-Laws, and Policies”. If a Member has resigned she/he may be readmitted upon such terms and conditions as the Registrar may determine, but at a minimum meet the conditions of readmission as listed below. CONDITIONS OF READMISSION The approval of a request for readmission is conditional upon to the following: 1. CPD REQUIREMENTS The readmission of a former Member shall be conditional upon said Member satisfying all outstanding CPD requirements as agreed to with CPA New Brunswick since the date of resignation of his/her membership with CPA New Brunswick or a legacy body. The former Member, if they have resigned for a period in excess of twelve months, must submit for approval by CPA New Brunswick a plan which will develop the current competencies necessary to support the Member’s reintegration into the workforce. The readmission of a former Member shall be conditional upon the following: • The submission for approval to CPA New Brunswick of a plan, if required, which will develop the current competencies necessary to support the former Member’s reintegration into the workforce and related to the area of expertise; and • The satisfaction by said former Member of all outstanding CPD requirements, including as agreed in an approved plan, if applicable, as enacted by CPA New Brunswick since the date of resignation of membership with CPA New Brunswick or legacy body. 2. FEES REQUIREMENTS The approval of a request for readmission shall be conditional upon the former Member having paid the following fees, plus HST thereon: • The readmission fee as approved by the Board at the date of the request of readmission; • Applicable CPA New Brunswick membership fees for the period of non-membership in CPA New Brunswick or legacy body, not exceeding three years; and • Applicable membership fee for the year of the readmission. 3. REQUEST FOR READMISSION The approval of a request for readmission shall be conditional upon the former Member certifying that there has been no conduct of any kind, either actions or omissions, on the part of said former Member during the period of non-membership with CPA New Brunswick or legacy body that would negatively impact the CPA profession or the CPA designation. 4. EFFECTIVE DATE OF READMISSION A request for readmission into CPA New Brunswick shall not be effective until duly approved by the Registrar.
